On the 4th February 1982 plasma physicist Pr. Dr. Friedrich Wagner’s team operating the ASDEX tokamak reactor at the ipp of the mpg discovered the so called h-mode (high-confinement mode) in tokamaks. Before the release of the successively appearing paper released on the 8th November 1982 ended the urgency of high neutral-particle-heating of the plasma, the amount of plasma temperature was perilously influencing the raise of energy-loss.
